Electricity Maps just released its newest datasets for 2024, providing location-based electricity data with hourly granularity, covering over 160 zones. 

Electricity Maps now delivers real-time carbon intensity data for 110+ additional countries, empowering customers to report, analyze, and reduce electricity emissions globally.

We’re excited to offer up to 72-hour grid forecasts on Electricity Maps' API, providing carbon intensity, renewable energy share (RE%), and power mix signals across 100+ zones.

Copenhagen-based climate-tech startup Electricity Maps raised €5m to accelerate the data-driven decarbonization of the electricity grid. The investment comes from climate-focused funds Transition and Revent.

Electricity Maps has developed a data portal that empowers companies to do more granular carbon accounting.

This partnership enables users to take greater control of their carbon footprint and lower their carbon emissions connected to their use of electricity. 

Previously the Electricity Maps free API was available on a separate domain, but now it is fully integrated and you can access it directly through our API Portal. 

We have added new pages to our website to communicate clearly how and why you should use Electricity Maps as a part of your decarbonization journey.

We want to empower all companies to do their carbon accounting on an hourly granularity. Therefore, we will soon offer free access to all companies to granular carbon emission data for carbon accounting.

With that newly found ambition comes a new name. Today marks the next step of our evolution, as we’re now becoming Electricity Maps
