Olivier is a statistician, data scientist and software engineer. He previously managed data science and engineering at French AI startup Snips (acquired by Sonos), hiring the first 30 employees. In his spare time, Olivier fiddles around with digital music production, plays soccer and worships the 2nd law of thermodynamics. He studied engineering at Ecole Centrale Paris and mathematical statistics at the Technical University of Denmark.
Liv is a French/Danish business development lead, with experience in leading sales organisations and transformational partnerships within the tech environment (Google, Rocket Internet among others). Liv is also a certified Yoga Instructor and huge fan of the Ocean where she spends most of her free time surfing.
James is an American engineering leader based in Denmark. He previously worked with teams at Zendesk and Peakon (acquired by Workday) to build a wide variety of software products. Among other things, James enjoys strong coffee, quiet walks, and cycling through the Danish countryside with his family.
Frederik is a Danish business leader, who grew up in the United States. He was previously CPO at GoMore, and has strategy and business development experience from Novozymes and McKinsey. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and Economics degrees from the London School of Economics and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Frederik prioritizes spending time with his wife and two kids outside of work.
Josee is a People and Culture profesional from The Netherlands. She previously worked as the HR director at The Ocean Cleanup were she was responsible for the organizational growth and fostering exceptional company culture. Besides contributing to an organisation with a great mission, Josee loves scuba diving, exploring the Nordics and reading.
Mads is a Danish full stack developer. He has a background in design, UX & development from the IT University of Copenhagen and has previously been building educational software at Lix Technologies.
Pierre is a French data scientist and engineer. He studied applied mathematics at the Technical University of Denmark, and at Ecole Centrale Paris. His love for outdoors activities, such as skiing, hiking or climbing developed in him a strong desire to fight climate change.
Felix is a Danish software developer. Felix enjoys exploring new programming languages, frameworks, and platforms. Before joining Electricity Maps, Felix worked with DevOps tools at a listed Danish software company.
Tony is a Kiwi software engineer. He has a background in computer science from Auckland University of Technology with a focus on software and machine learning. Before joining Electricity Maps he built recycling software for Auckland Council and Visy Recycling as well as working with New Zealand based AI and environmental startups. While not behind a computer, Tony can be found riding a bicycle or enjoying the ocean.
Julien is a French energy engineer. He studied general engineering at Ecole Polytechnique in France and sustainable energy at the Technical University of Denmark. Julien is fond of playing sports such as rugby and beach volley. When not enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking or kitesurfing, he works as a product specialist in Electricity Maps to fight climate change.
Íngrid is a data scientist and engineer. She studied engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where she obtained her PhD in Electrical Engineering, taking part of it at the Technical University of Denmark. She previously worked at research centers in Barcelona and weather and power forecast companies in Copenhagen. In her spare time, Íngrid enjoys chai latte, handcrafts and walking around discovering the world.
Robin is a French software engineer who loves green challenges. He studied computer science and security at the Technical University of Denmark and engineering at Ecole Centrale de Nantes. When he is not fiddling with IoT devices, you will find him outdoors hiking, camping or skiing. Before joining ElectricityMaps he worked on security integrations at several companies.
Viktor is a Swedish software developer and engineer. He studies Digital Design and Innovation at Halmstad University. Viktor has a background in web development and enjoys spending time in nature doing activities such as walking, biking, swimming, or alpine skiing.
Mathias is a Danish product manager with an interdisciplinary background in sustainable design and software development. He previously co-founded a startup and worked at a software company building machine learning products. In his spare time he enjoys programming, biking, and listening to podcast.
Florian is an Austrian data scientist with a background in machine learning and high-performance computing. He obtained an undergraduate degree in mathematics, a graduate degree in data science from ETH Zurich and previously worked as a research assistant on compressing climate datasets at Torsten Hoefler’s lab. Outside of office hours, you’re likely to find him at a social dancing event, a jazz bar or on his bike.
Alex is a digital product designer from Romania, with an interest in sustainability and mental health. Before joining Electricity Maps, he worked at several green tech startups in the energy sector, with a focus on helping consumers see the full picture of their energy consumption and raising climate awareness. In his free time, he enjoys a cozy board game evening, live concerts and when it's sunny, you will always find him exploring the nature.
Silke is a Danish software developer. She studies Software Development at the IT University of Copenhagen. Silke is a former professional football player and before joining Electricity Maps she worked at Netcompany as a Student Developer. In her spare time, she likes to do sports or play board games with friends and family.
Théo is a French Business Development Manager. He is an engineer and has professional experience in renewable energy operations and people leadership roles.
He moved to Copenhagen in 2017 and spend his free time between two passions: producing and playing live Electronic Music and playing beach-volley.
Anna is Danish student developer/data scientist in the Grid Modelling and Methodology team. She is currently studying for her Master’s degree in Quantum Physics at the University of Copenhagen. In her spare time, Anna likes reading books, watching theatre, and walking around Copenhagen.
Marcus is a Danish MLOps Engineer. He studied Sustainable Energy at the Technical University of Denmark with a focus on data science and machine learning in the energy sector. He previously worked at a Danish energy and weather forecasting company, delivering operational forecasts to +100GW of renewable capacity. In his free time, Marcus is an big sports enthusiast, closely following the Danish handball scene.
Sylvester is a People and Operations prospect from Denmark. He is currently studying his Master’s Degree in Strategy, Organisation and Leadership at Copenhagen Business School. He has previously worked with service management, but is now excited to join Electricity Maps on their mission towards a decarbonised electricity system. In his spare time, Sylvester likes to play disc golf and produce electronic music.
Lea is a German Marketing professional, with experience from several start-ups and scale-ups, most recently at Templafy. With a Master's degree in Organizational Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Copenhagen Business School, she is passionate about fostering a sustainable future through collaboration and innovation. Outside of work, Lea enjoys yoga, cooking, and being outdoors to surf, hike or dip in the cold Copenhagen waters.
Filip is an AI/ML engineer from Poland. He recently completed his Master's degree in AI at Leiden University in the Netherlands, which fueled his passion for AI and its applications. He is a sports and art enthusiast, and above all, an adventure seeker. He has a love for data and optimization. Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, excited to apply his machine learning skills to lead towards a sustainable world.
